CANCOM Slovakia: Tomáš, try to introduce yourself briefly.
My name is Tomáš, I live in Košice, and I have a wife and a child.
CANCOM Slovakia: Can you also tell us something about your interests and hobbies?
I like cycling a lot and I prefer asphalt as well as off-road.
CANCOM Slovakia: Have you heard about our in-house cycling club?
Yes, I have heard about them, and I plan to join for sure.
CANCOM Slovakia: Did you study IT or something similar?
I didn’t study IT because I studied sport and recreation at UPJŠ.
CANCOM Slovakia: Sport and Recreation. Well, we must ask about the content of the study. What was it all about? Probably not about finding an all-inclusive stay in Greece. Right?
Basically, it’s a classical sports school, so we learned the basics of anatomy, physiology and kinesiology.
CANCOM Slovakia: What happened in your life that you decided to go into IT?
Let’s tell it like it is. There is a great demand for IT people and our work is quite well paid.
CANCOM Slovakia: How did you hear about us?
Well, I had CANCOM in my mind. You know how it goes. I heard from a friend of mine who heard it from a friend of a friend, and the word on the street was that CANCOM was a pretty solid company (loud laughter). I kept thinking of you as I was driving by Aupark and one day I looked at your career page and I applied.
CANCOM Slovakia: You work for us as a PSC Support Specialist. What is the main role of your position?
I would explain it like this. A customer has a network and when they have a problem or their network is disrupted in some way, they call us.
CANCOM Slovakia: How do you like it here?
I like the company very a lot. The team is great and it’s such a good family atmosphere.
CANCOM Slovakia: Would you do it again? I mean, apply to CANCOM?
Yes, definitely.
