We are not indifferent to natural heritage either, as we are sensitive to the importance and role of a healthy biodiversity in our society. That is why every year we participate in various activities such as ZASAĎ TREE / MAKE A HOME. The aim of the project is to plant 1,000,000 trees throughout Slovakia, and we have planted 250 new trees in the Tri Studničky locality in the High Tatras, and we will certainly continue planting, as the original idea was to plant one tree for every one of our employees. We are constantly expanding our ranks and currently have more than 300 employees, so we will return to this activity in the future.
Last year, we teamed up with Trash Heroes, a non-profit organization that operates mainly in the Košice region and primarily deals with illegal landfills and free waste in nature. Unfortunately, the current situation in our region is unflattering, so together we removed a small illegal dump near the observation tower in Košice. The action was a success, and we will certainly be continuing it.
Our last green activity was cooperation with the CHKO Slovenský raj. This organization was one of the first of its kind and was founded in 1964. Together we cleaned the hiking trail leading to Tomášovský výhled, which is undoubtedly the most visited and most beautiful place in the Slovak Paradise. Furthermore, we marked the trees with blue paint and when you see such markings, you are on the border beyond which you can no longer harvest timber.
