Some basic facts and figures about us

In our relatively short history in Slovakia, we have accomplished quite a lot, but let’s start from the beginning and take it one step at a time.   CANCOM Slovakia was established in 2019 as CANCOM’s only branch in Slovakia with the aim of bringing European standards and culture to its employees and international clients.

CANCOM Kosice

We are a fully integrated part of CANCOM, which was founded in 1992 in Germany, is headquartered in Munich and has more than 5.600 employees. We provide comprehensive IT services to more than 40,000 customers and operate in the DACH region, Belgium, Slovakia, Romania and the Czech Republic. CANCOM generated annual revenues of around €1.3 billion in 2022 and the Group parent company CANCOM SE is listed on the TecDAX and SDAX of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

The CANCOM Group is led by Rüdiger Rath (CEO), Jochen Borenich (CSO) and Thomas Stark (CFO).  Matúš Copík (Senior Vice President) is responsible for the Slovak branch.

In the first four years, CANCOM Slovakia was able to grow significantly and today we already have more than 300 highly qualified English and German speaking colleagues. This number puts us among the leading IT employers in the Košice region and we are planning to grow further.

The trust of our customers is our capital. We thrive on this trust and are committed to our customers. To build credibility and trust among all stakeholders, we always act with integrity. This trust depends largely on how we conduct ourselves and how we use our expertise for the benefit of our customers, shareholders, business partners, and the CANCOM Group. The customer is always at the center of our thoughts and actions. We listen to our customers, understand their needs, and make clear performance promises. We align ourselves and our processes accordingly – for an excellent customer experience. Accordingly, we always act proactively in the interests of our customers and strive in our daily work to solve our customers' problems sustainably and to create added value for our customers. We are sustainable.

Sustainability is a matter close to our hearts and has a high priority as part of our corporate culture. We therefore think and act in an environmentally conscious manner and stand for sustainable business and cooperation. 

We are aware that resources are not available in unlimited quantities. For this reason, an adequate sustainability policy for the protection of the environment is an essential building block for us in connection with the pursuit of long-term corporate goals. We are therefore working consistently on the implementation of measures that enable a reduction of negative impacts on the environment. IT as a means and product can make a decisive contribution to greater sustainability here. We take environmental aspects into account in our processes so that we can systematically derive environmentally friendly and sustainable measures from them. We involve our suppliers in these processes. We want to avoid and try to minimize environmental pollution in all areas of the company. We promote a self-responsible and environmentally protective awareness and behavior among our employees. We observe relevant environmental regulations and laws and implement them in the company. For us, sustainability also means acting in a compliant manner, i.e. adhering to our Code of Conduct, laws and guidelines in every situation. In order to be successful on the market in the long term, we rely on sustainable corporate management. We are interested in long-lasting customer relationships and want to offer our customers lasting, reliable services and solutions. We stand for sustainable, future-oriented business. To this end, we invest in and focus on forward-looking technologies and areas. Our employees are the basis of our long-term success. We are convinced of their potential and capabilities. We focus on flexibility and adapt quickly and easily to changing requirements and situations.

Through an agile environment, we are open to change and actively align our actions with the needs of the market and the company. Our managers are role models and lead their teams through a process of cooperative creation and continuous learning without losing focus on the customer. We also focus on young talents with an agile mindset as well as a committed, proactive and open approach and support them in performing their tasks and in their personal development.

Principles for respecting human rights are part of the CANCOM Code of Conduct, compliance with which is mandatory for all employees of the CANCOM Group, regardless of their location or position.

Partnership and effective communication.

We communicate in a spirit of partnership and appreciation and always treat our counterparts fairly and respectfully.

We communicate effectively and transparently both internally and externally. This is because our corporate culture is characterized by an open, inclusive and constructive climate that promotes independent and results-oriented performance. We support the exchange of information and knowledge and encourage new ideas and ways of thinking. For us, effective communication based on partnership forms the basis for a good working environment, which is an important prerequisite for the economic success of our company. We are able to give and receive feedback clearly, appreciatively and empathically because we believe that open communication is the best way for personal and professional development. That is why we prefer direct communication. We treat our counterpart as we would like to be treated, and we are able to justify our decisions in an understandable way. Out of respect, we always prepare for effective and productive meetings.
