The special Lab
Athletes have gyms. Musicians have rehearsal rooms. Our IT specialists have a Lab where they can simulate different scenarios and software deployments.

The idea of the LAB came from my colleague Patrik Žuffa and was based on the preparation of a virtual place where you can try out different technologies, scenarios and software deployment and thus quickly and easily improve your IT skills and knowledge.
At the beginning only three colleagues from Košice had access, but as we are growing and each of us has different knowledge, today the Lab is available for all Košice employees and it is possible to try working on devices from
Basically, the Lab is a virtual playground where you can have fun, but also learn a lot. Imagine a situation where a customer has a technical problem and you have to solve it, but you haven’t encountered such a situation yet. This is exactly the kind of scenario that the Lab is the perfect place for. The Lab allows you to simulate different situations where you can try out different scenarios. As they say, it is better to see once than hear 100 times. No tutorial will help you as much as our Lab. Theoretical knowledge is essential, but practice is simply practice.
The Lab is not only for colleagues with advanced IT knowledge, but it is also an ideal place for those who do not have enough experience but would like to move to the next level. “For someone, football is a hobby, a bicycle is a hobby and for someone else it’s IT. We have prepared a Lab for exactly such colleagues. Many big global giants such as Cisco have similar Labs available for their employees, so I am very happy that our company also has a Lab. It is smaller, but you can still learn a lot in it”, says Patrik Žuffa.
From basic switch or router configuration for Cisco CCNA to the possibility of deploying various Enterprise IT scenarios such as conditional network access secured by RADIUS or TACACS+ to VPN connection with Cancom MultiCloud as well as deploying various Wireless scenarios to the possibility of deploying SD-WAN via Lancom SD-WAN router.
Last but not least, there are also servers with virtual environments and the ability to run different instances of operating systems on different platforms whether Windows (Windows Server 2016 to Windows Server 2022) or Linux (Ubuntu, Centos, Debian, RedHat, SuSe).
The Lab is flexible with the ability to be customized for different needs, and it’s an independent infrastructure with shared internet connectivity, so there really is something for everyone.

Someone has a classic gym in their company, and we have a gym for our IT skills and knowledge. But we don’t neglect our fitness either, because we have regular circuit training, we cycle together, play volleyball and much more.
