What would December be without a proper Christmas party. We had three of them and we started the Christmas mood at our office and ended it at our own Christmas markets.

The first of our Christmas events was Christmas game night, during which there was no lack of fun. The evening started with a poker tournament where poker enthusiasts tested how well they could bluff their way around their fellow players. Poker is played regularly here, so there was no shortage of enthusiasts. Later came the quiz master, which tested our knowledge in various areas, and we even dusted off legendary board games like Monopoly and Man Don’t Be Angry. There were also the fashion police who were on the lookout for the glitziest Christmas jumper.
It wasn’t just about fun, because of course each of these activities had a winner. The winner of the poker tournament was my colleague Tomáš Gurbaľ from the SAPák team, the first place in the quiz went to my colleagues Zuzka, Janko, Braňo, Táňa and Mahu from the PSC team, and in the competition for the coolest sweater was decided by our fans on social networks. After a very exciting duel, the winner was my colleague Peter Miskuf from DOM team.
Christmas activities in the office continued with wrapping presents for the children from DORKA in Košice every year. At the beginning of December, we received Christmas wishes in the form of letters for Santa Claus from 63 children. For one evening, our office space was transformed into Santa’s workshop and our colleagues became Christmas elves with whom we tested our gift-wrapping skills. The presents came in all shapes and sizes, from a tiny car to a 40kg set of dumbbells. However, all the colleagues managed it brilliantly and deserve admiration, because wrapping almost 200 presents in about an hour is truly admirable. We then delivered the presents to DORKA, and thanks to all of you who participated, the children were able to unwrap their dream wish under the tree at Christmas.
We ended the series of Christmas parties in style with our own Christmas market in the Historic Town Hall. There were beautiful Christmas decorations, delicious smelling food, boiled punch, and roasted chestnuts. The Hornád Folklore Ensemble from Košice took care of the beautiful traditional programme and our two colleagues Mato Bača and Nika Bernátová also showed up in costume.
Since Christmas is also about helping others, we decided to donate 150,000€ to Smile as a Gift to help those who have been affected by the war in Ukraine and cannot spend Christmas with their loved ones in the usual way. Rado Dráb was also invited to our market and during this magical evening we were able to present him with a symbolic cheque.
